Community & Economic Development


The Community & Economic Development team is responsible for a wide-range of activities designed to improve the quality of life at the community level.

From improvements in the way people get around the region to planning for the population increases that are projected in the next thirty years to making sure first responders have the training and equipment they need to get to the scene of the emergency when you call 9-1-1, the Community & Economic Development team is focused on finding regional solutions to the challenges the Texoma region faces.

9-1-1

TCOG's 9-1-1 Program provides technical and financial support to the 9-1-1 call centers throughout the Texoma region. For more information about our 9-1-1 program, click here.

Criminal Justice

TCOG's Criminal Justice Program works with the law enforcement and victim advocacy communities in the Texoma region to make the best use of local, state and federal resources. For more information about our Criminal Justice program, click here.

Economic Development

The Economic Development staff works with our partner agencies by coordinating economic development planning throughout the Texoma region. For more information about our Economic Development program, click here.

Emergency Planning

TCOG's Emergency Planning staff administers state and federal grants to ensure that the Texoma region is appropriately prepared to deal with emergency situations that require a coordinated response. For more information about our Emergency Planning program, click here.

Geographic Information System

The Geographic Information System (GIS) Program is leading the regional charge to develop and coordinate the use of GIS technology. For more information about our GIS program, click here.

Municipal Solid Waste

The Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) staff administers a program to reduce the amount municipal solid waste by promoting recycling, composting, and the fight against illegal dumping. For more information about our MSW program, click here.
